Holiday beer = holiday cheer
Nothing gets a beer aficionado in the holiday spirit like a selection of seasonal brews. So we went to the holiday beer experts at Hop City to find out what was in stock. Check out these four Holiday Beers that would make a perfect gift for the beer lover in your life!
Denim Downhiller from Good People Brewing Company
Good People’s tribute to the Southern Appalachia skier, Denim Downhiller is warm and toasty with earthy and floral notes from Willamette and Mt. Hood hops. Highly sessionable, this is a winter ale that promises to go down fast!
Holiday Now from Trim Tab Brewing Co.
TrimTab Berliner Weisse is a tart, refreshing wheat ale that is brewed with raspberry and tart cherry puree. Bready wheat notes provide a soft background and delicate mouthfeel, while the fruit and acidic flavors contrast to create a very refreshing, but undeniably unique summer style. Once deemed the “Champagne of the North” by Napoleon’s troops and having over 700 breweries that solely specialized in the style in Germany, the Berliner Weisse style stood on the brink of extinction mid-way through the 20-th century. Legend has it that Napoleon demanded to have a Berliner Weisse after every victory.

Peanut Butter Porter from Back Forty Beer Company
It’s creamy, it’s big, it’s just what it sounds like. Brewed with crushed peanuts and a malt bill thick enough to slather on some bread, Peanut Butter Porter belongs on your grocery list right next to the jelly, bananas & bacon. COMFORT FOOD IN A CAN!
Bible Belt from Evil Twin Brewing and Prairie Artisan Ales
The brew masters at Prairie Artisan Ales love big, flavorful stouts. As luck would have it, their friend Jeppe at Evil Twin Brewing feels the same way. They decided to brew a beer together that took elements from their favorite stouts to come together as one beer. Bible Belt takes elements from Prairie Bomb! and combines them with Evil Twin Brewing’s world famous stout, Even More Jesus.
The end result is a smoky, spicy stout that is sure to please the pallet.
