Audible is offering hundreds of children’s audiobooks for free


Audible has announced that free children’s audiobooks will now be offered on their stories service. This comes at a perfect time for parents who are stuck at home with kids due to the coronoavirus school closures. The stories service is offering over 300 free audiobooks in six languages. This will give isolated parents a ton of books to entertain their children or to use as educational material. All of the audiobooks are free of charge for the foreseeable future.

The message on the stories website reads:

For as long as schools are closed, we’re open. Starting today, kids everywhere can instantly stream an incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning, and just being kids.

All stories are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet.

Explore the collection, select a title and start listening.

It’s that easy.

Free children’s audiobooks


Some of the categories that are currently free include littlest listeners, elementary, tween, teen, and literary classics. Some standout titles from the selection are Winnie-the-PoohBeatrix Potter, and Alice in WonderlandThe six languages that are currently available are – English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Chinese Mandarin.

You’ll need to sign up to access the library of free audiobooks and then you’ll be able to listen on the device of your choice, including laptops, mobile phones, tablets and more.
