Baba Java Roaster & Café is now open in Hoover, specializing in amazing new coffees from across the world and serving some of the best local pastries and treats.
The café, located at 4730 Chace Circle right next to Five Guys and Jet’s Pizza, serves coffees from exotic locales such as Yemen, the only Middle Eastern country that grows coffee beans, and China’s Yunan Province, along with brews from Africa and Central and South America.
Baba Java also sells food items from local bakeries and restaurants, including Hoover’s Forest Bear Bakery, Pelham’s Highland Gourmet Scones and Emily’s Heirloom Pound Cakes in Birmingham.
Baba Java, literally “Father Coffee,” is owned by Nathan and Wendi Parvin of Hoover.
“We offer specialty coffees with unique direct origins,” said Brad Haynes, Vice President of Operations for Baba Java. “We will have coffee from Yemen, which is difficult to source because of the civil unrest there, and from China’s Yunan Province, which is new to the coffee world and extremely flavorful. Our goal is to produce excellent coffee that bridges the gap between the farmer and the consumer, while fostering relationships that build healthy communities,” Nathan Parvin said. “At every step – from buying, to roasting, to brewing, to serving – we strive to provide the best coffee experience in our community.”
Baba Java offers espresso-based drinks, pour over and drip coffee, specialty Turkish coffee, plus specialty tea by Sachai. The café also provides a coffee subscription service online at www.babajavacoffee.com along with branded merchandise and home-brewing accessories.
