If you want to take your dog out for some exercise but don’t want an off-leash area, the Magic City has plenty of options!

Railroad Park downtown offers plenty of room to move around and have fun with the Birmingham skyline in the background. Vulcan Trail below Vulcan Park also offers a fantastic view of the city as you walk a paved trail on Red Mountain.

Oak Mountain offers numerous activities for you and your furry friend in Pelham. The Lakeshore Trail in Homewood is a classic paved trail down Lakeshore Parkway for your doggo to get some exercise. In Hoover, Veterans Park offers lots of grass and a gravel trail for exercise and Moss Rock Preserve is the perfect spot to take your dog on a hike.
