Birmingham’s annual Taco Fest becomes month-long Taco Trail

Taco Fest Taco Trail

The 4th Annual Taco Fest is going to look a lot different this year!

Bare Hands, Inc., the host of Birmingham’s Taco Fest, announced on Friday that the popular culinary event will become Taco Fest Taco Trail. For the month of September, Taco Trail will highlight Birmingham’s Best Taco Eateries including restaurants and authentic food trucks. You can also expect fantastic specials in honor of Taco Trail.

What does it cost?

Taco Fest Taco Trail is FREE to the public this year!

Taco Fest is traditionally a fundraiser for Bare Hands Inc. and benefits the Bare Hands Art Club at the downtown YWCA of Central Alabama, and the annual Dia de los Muertos Festival to be held in November. However, due to the continuing circumstance surrounding COVID-19, the hosts thought it would be best to highlight and support the many local businesses in the community that have been negatively impacted by the pandemic.

How does it work?

Enjoy Taco Trail this year by following these five steps:

  1. Use the interactive Taco Trail map to find the tacos you want to try.
  2. Visit the Taco Trail vendor of your choice.
  3. Enjoy your tacos!
  4. Scan the Taco Trail QR code at each location to register and win prizes.
  5. Repeat the process for the entire month of September.

“If you’re in Birmingham, Alabama, stop by the Rojo. That’s Spanish for red.” It is not just any recommendation; it was Bob Dylan talking about Rojo in his show “Theme Time Radio Hour”. Rojo is a American and Latin restaurant very popular in our city. If you haven’t tried Rojo tacos, don’t miss going there in September. Remember that September is the month to celebrate our love for tacos and support our local business in Birmingham, Alabama. See you there! #tacos #birminghamtacos #birminghambesttacos #birminghamoriginals #foodiesofbirmingham #inbirmingham #birminghamtacofest2020 #bhamtacofest #tacofest #birminghamtacotrail #bhamstrong #eatmoretacos #birminghamalabama #birminghamfood #food #eatbham #vendortacofest #tbt
