Wine Tasting at White Oak Vineyards

White Oak Vineyards
Randal Wilson is the winemaker for Southern Oak Wines produced at White Oak Vineyards in Alabama. Together with his wife and business partner, Dana, they run the winery operation and farm year round. The land includes 52 acres and sits at 1000 ft. elevation, midway between Birmingham and Atlanta, not far off the Interstate 20 corridor.
White Oak’s tasting room opened in 2004. Dana is usually there pouring our wines Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Hours are 1-5 Thurs – Fri, and 10 – 5 Saturday. Monday – Wednesday by appointment, call Randal at 256 453-6470. We offer gift baskets, jams and jellies, syrup, candles, and other items. Tastings are $5 per person for 5 wines, $10 for all wines, so come join us soon. Call us if you would like a special appointment and especially if you have a group and would like a special tour and tasting.

Qualifier event for the 2019 UCI Gran Fondo World Championships who take place in Poznan (Poland). The Granfondo has a time trial on Saturday and a Granfondo road race on Sunday over the famous Cheaha Mountain for a total distance of 100 Miles

Celebrate Armed Forces Day at the Army National Guard Training Center at Fort McClellan! MAY 18, 2019!
There will be a Kids “Fun Zone,” military vehicle displays, live entertainment from local High School bands, and refreshments. AAFES will be set up with merchandise, and additional vendors will be on site for a variety of products and services.
2019 U.S. Canine Biathlon

ARE YOU READY FOR A LIFE CHANGING CHALLENGE? JOIN US! The U.S. Canine Biathlon is a yearly event hosted by VWK9 in Anniston, Alabama. The course is 3.5 to 4+ miles long with 40+ purpose-built obstacles over varied terrain including forest, sand, and water. The event is open to handler-canine teams including civilian pets, search & rescue, military working dogs, and police dog teams.

The Chief Ladiga Cruise, held in conjunction with the Cheaha Challenge Gran Fondo Century & ULTRA, is a kinder, gentler family ride that goes from Jacksonville to Piedmont to the Alabama/Georgia State Line and back on the paved Chief Ladiga Trail, a rails-to-trail. The Cruise is designed with fun in mind!
