1. Red Cat Coffee House and Gourmet Coffee Roasters
Red Cat Coffee got its start by selling coffee at Pepper Place Market.
When the Red Cat opened in 2008, the company wanted to create a coffeehouse that is welcoming to all people and all tastes in the Birmingham community.
They specialize in specialty-grade coffees and latte art, and we think they do an extraordinary job.

2. O'Henry's Coffees
OHenry’s Coffee has been roasting coffee for over 25 years in the heart of Alabama.
The coffeehouse rotates through 30 to 40 different coffees each month from all over the world. O’Henry’s uses only the top 1% of the coffee beans grown and small batch roast all their coffees. You’ll love the taste of their coffee so much that you’ll end up purchasing a bag to go.

3. Red Mountain Expresso
Red Mountain Expresso is a small coffeehouse in Homewood.
The caveat: this shop has no seating, it’s just a drive-thru. However, you won’t have to wait for long at this drive-thru because there are two convenient windows on both sides of the building.
We recommend the Broadway. It is delicious!

4. Seeds Coffee Co.
Founded in 2011, Seeds Coffee is a unique nonprofit that functions as a quality-driven specialty coffee shop.
Seeds offers a great welcoming atmosphere to sit a study or hang out. It’s a cute place and the building has been completely renovated from an old gas station.

5. Revelator Coffee
Revelator is a coffee roaster and café operator with roots in metro markets across the Southeast.

Real & Rosemary co-owners Jennifer Mims and Nate Carlson created this quaint coffeehouse in Homewood in early 2018.
Upon your arrival, you’ll be instantly captivated by the cozy and beautiful design of Caveat Coffee. That’s because it’s actually a renovated home, and it’s stunning.
Not only is the coffee top notch, but the service is exceptional.

Urban Standard is a jewel in Birmingham’s Historic Loft District with a cool vibe.

9. Bullet Coffee Co
Offering a selection of specialty coffees, classic coffees, teas, breakfast and lunch, Bullet Coffee Co. is one of the newest coffee shops to open in the Magic City.

10. Filter Coffee Parlor
Premium coffee has returned to Five Points South! Filter Coffee Parlor opened in January in the same location that had been previously occupied by Starbucks on 11th Avenue South in the historic Birmingham neighborhood.
Filter Coffee Parlor, owned by husband-and-wife team James Little and Jill Marlar, features coffee roasters from across the state with a diverse menu of offerings.

Owner Tyler Nash has a passion for craft coffee which led him and his wife Anna to opening their own coffee shop, Innova Coffee!
