2019 Hope for Autumn Foundation Crawfish Boil

It’s the 12th annual Hope for Autumn Foundation Crawfish Boil, one of the area’s most popular family events! With your ticket you can enjoy all you can eat crawfish prepared by Lousiana native John Hein, hamburgers, hot dogs and all the fixings, Pepsi products, tons of kids activities including bounce houses, balloon animals, face painting, a kids’ DJ dance party, performance by Roger Day, and live music by Pioneer Chicken Stand and Billy Gant Band. Proceeds from the event benefit families battling childhood cancer in Alabama and funds local childhood cancer research.

34th Annual LSU Alumni Crawfish Boil

It’s crawfish time…Tiger-style! Get ready to pinch da tails and suck da heads at the 34th Annual Greater Birmingham LSU Alumni Crawfish Boil on Saturday, April 27th!
Bring your kids and pets and join us in the outdoor courtyard at Avondale Brewery on 41st St in Birmingham from 12pm to 3pm for all-you-can-eat crawfish, sausage, corn and potatoes boiled by Cajun Steamer. The cost is $35 per person. Children under 12 free. Beverages (soft drinks and water) are included. Additional drinks will be available for purchase from Avondale Brewery.
There will also be a silent auction, raffle, and a live DJ for entertainment. Event proceeds will fund local scholarships for students. Tickets can be purchased through PayPal at or by check to Greater Birmingham LSU Alumni Association mailed to Paul Chin-Lai, Treasurer, 709 Pine Trace Circle, Birmingham, AL 35244. Please include a list of names of those attending. Deadline to purchase tickets is Thursday April 25th. No need to be an LSU graduate or alumnus to attend events. All LSU Tiger fans welcomed! The 15th Annual Mudbugs & Music comes back to Birmingham on Saturday, May 4th at Cahaba Brewing Company with crawfish from Bayou Bros, kids activities, silent auction, and great live music from Stephen Mccullough. We’ll be turning up the heat to beat arthritis, the nation’s leading cause of disability. Proceeds from Mudbugs & Music support the Arthritis Foundation’s mission to conquer and cure arthritis.

Since it started during 2005, Mudbugs & Music has helped fund the pediatric rheumatology program at Children’s of Alabama and UAB that has changed the course of treatment for thousands of children with juvenile arthritis.
