Magic City Smooth Jazz Brings Jazz in the Park to Mountain Brook

Magic City Smooth Jazz, in conjunction with the City of Mountain Brook and the Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce, is bringing their show to Mountain Brook, AL for the third year in a row. Dee Lucas and Scott Marvill will perform from 5:00-8:00 pm this Sunday, October 13 on the field in front of Emmet O’Neal Library, located at 50 Oak St., Mountain Brook, AL 35213. This is a free community event, and all are welcome!

Magic City Smooth Jazz (MCSJ), whose mission is “Building Community through Jazz,” has presented over 125 FREE jazz concerts in communities across Alabama since its inception in 2008. Led by Executive Director Bernard Lockhardt, Jazz in the Park offers free top-notch Jazz performances every Sunday from April to October and has developed quite a loyal following. MCSJ has presented over 300 emerging and established Alabama and out-of-state artists. Mountain Brook expects several hundred visitors this Sunday for the event.

Patrons are encouraged to bring a picnic from home or pick up dinner from one of our local Crestline restaurants. Picnic blankets and/or fold up chairs are encouraged as well. This event is sponsored by Thomas Waters – State Farm Insurance, Representative David Faulkner, Mathnasium of Mountain Brook, and The Welch Group Foundation.
