Mom’s Basement, one of the Magic City’s quirkiest bars, has found a delicious way to keep their staff employed during the Coronavirus pandemic. They’ve acquired the Lolo’s BBQ restaurant across the street from their Avondale location and are now making incredible looking pizzas!
Mom’s Basement Pizza
The message on their website reads:
Feed your family and help keep our staff employed!
This is not how we wanted to announce, but Mom’s has acquired the Lolo’s BBQ restaurant across the street. Our plan was to open a pizza spot later this Spring. With the bar being temporarily shut down we have mobilized to make pizzas NOW.
Ordering a pizza couldn’t be easier! When you click on the pizza tab at the top of Mom’s Basement’s website you’re taken to a page that displays pickup times. Select an available time and start customizing your pizza! All of the pizzas start off as sixteen-inch cheese pizzas, so if you’re in the mood for a delicious cheese pizza you can stop right there but if you’d like to kick things up a notch you can add toppings by checking the box next to what you want! Toppings available to add include Pepperoni, Banana Peppers, Black Olives, Jalapenos, Mushrooms, and Onions. My personal favorite is to add pepperoni, mushroom and banana peppers! SO GOOD!
Mom’s Basement Merch
Another way to support Mom’s Basement is to buy some of their awesome merch! They have a selection of shirts, koozies and more that all oozing with the style that Mom’s Basement is known for.
Whether you’re ordering merch or ordering a pizza, keeping businesses like Mom’s Basement alive through this pandemic is super important.
