Prepping for the holidays is a year-long task for Christmas tree farmers. And the job doesn’t get any easier along the coast of South Carolina.
Whether it is high humidity and rainfall, or general maintenance and reseeding, there is a lot going on behind the scenes before December even rolls around.
But for Greg Walters, co-owner of Toogoodoo Tree Farm in Meggett, South Carolina, the smiling faces of families cutting down their first Christmas tree makes all the hard work worth it.
